DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

This course was challenging because it requires several deliverables that all piggyback off one another. However, I enjoyed the course overall because it equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve my understanding of the learning environments and achievements for educators by using effective professional learning principles. The course gave me valuable insight, enabling me to move from the sit-and-get to the go-and-show professional learning model. Specifically, I learned how to create and implement student-centered professional learning environments for elementary educators to help them implement video-based morning announcements into their campus environment. Through this hands-on experience, I realized the importance of considering all aspects of the learner's journey to success. I am excited to continue implementing the principles of effective professional learning in my teaching practices.
