Lesson Overview
This lesson will introduce the daily morning announcements in the elementary school environment. Students will learn about the purpose and structure of the announcements and how they can be used to improve their learning experience.

Materials:
Projector and computer with internet access
Speakers
Morning announcements video or audio
Chart paper and markers
Introduction (5 minutes):
Begin the lesson by asking students if they know what the morning announcements are and what purpose they serve.
Allow students to share their thoughts and ask follow-up questions to guide their understanding.
Direct Instruction (10 minutes):
Show a video or play an audio recording of a typical morning announcement.
As the announcements are playing, pause at key points and ask students to identify important information.
After the announcements are over, lead a class discussion on the purpose and structure of the announcements.
Use chart paper and markers to represent the announcements in the classroom visually.
Guided Practice (10 minutes):
Divide students into small groups and give each group a different set of morning announcements to listen to. Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D
Ask each group to identify the most important information and discuss how it can be used to improve their learning experience.
Allow time for each group to share their findings with the class.
Independent Practice (10 minutes):
Provide students with a worksheet that includes a list of morning announcements.
Ask students to read through the announcements and underline the most important information.
